السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

Raising little hearts that are kind, quick to forgive, and happy to share.

Simple lessons, short stories and a weekly star chart to help you teach your children good manners (adab) the way the Prophet ﷺ taught them, with gentleness.

Three good habits

What we're teaching, and where it comes from

Each value comes with a verse or hadith you can read together and one small thing to try at home today.

رِفْق

Kindness

Allah is Kind and He loves kindness in every matter.Hadith · Sahih al-Bukhari 6927

Try today: Ask your child to give one smile and one kind word to someone at home. Remind them the Prophet ﷺ said a smile for your brother is a charity (Tirmidhi 1956).

عَفْو

Forgiveness

Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not love for Allah to forgive you?Qur'an · Surah An-Nur 24:22

Try today: Practise the "sorry and forgive" swap. One child says "I'm sorry", the other answers "I forgive you, may Allah forgive us both", then they shake hands.

For parents

Teaching adab without nagging

Children copy what they see far more than what they hear. These habits come straight from the Prophetic way of raising children.

1

Be the example first

Say "please", "JazakAllahu khayran" and "I'm sorry" to your children. They learn the words by hearing them aimed at themselves.

2

Praise the deed, by name

"You shared your crayons with Ali, that was generous" teaches more than "good boy". Specific praise tells them exactly what to repeat.

3

Stay gentle when correcting

The Prophet ﷺ taught the young Umar ibn Abi Salamah table manners kindly: "Say Bismillah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is near you" (Bukhari 5376).

4

Connect it to Allah's love

Explain why: "Allah loves people who are kind." Children who understand the reason keep the habit when no one is watching.
